| Baby Bach? is a continuation of the work we started with Baby Mozart?. It provides a visually stimulating, often silly, always interesting introduction to classical music. It also includes three sets of scales that demonstrate timbre, a key concept in music. Timbre is the quality of sound distinctive to different instruments. All of the musical pieces were composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Bach's music is considered among the most complex and mathematical ever written. The pieces selected for use in Baby Bach are among J. S. Bach's most popular and enduring works. As with our other videos, Baby Bach presents captivating, real-world objects that are interesting and offer teaching opportunities for parents. The toys and art are presented through a child's eye, isolating the objects against background fields of black or white. We encourage you to use these images to teach your baby new words and develop concepts. Dance and encourage your child to play musical instruments while watching the video together.
